Pumpkin Chutney


  • 1 Kg  Pumpkin peeled and cubed
  • 2 Large cooking Apples peeled and cubed
  • 2 Large Carrots peeled and cubed
  • 200g Raisins
  • 5 Tsp Dried Ginger
  • 3 Tsp Dried Chilli's
  • 1 Tsp Gran Masala
  • 1 Tsp Tandori Masala
  • 700 ml Balsamic Vinegar
  • 2 Oranges Peeled and chopped
  • 500g Sugar
  1. Put the oranges and sugar to one side
  2. Place the rest of the ingredients into a pan and bring to the boil
  3. reduce the heat and simmer gently for 30 minutes
  4. Add Oranges and Sugar
  5. Stir over the heat until sugar had dissolved
  6. Simmer gently until mixture is is thick
  7. Place into sterilized jars
  8. Store for 2 weeks before serving.
