Mojo Picante '2'

This Mojo Salsa differs slightly from the original recipe by not putting in any lemon and adding honey. This does make a notable difference, I have kept both recipes because I have friends that either like them both or prefer one to the other.

3 tsp ground chili
4 Cl Garlic
1 tsp Cumin
1 tsp Paprika
1 tsp Turmeric
2 Sl Stale Bread
2 tbs Honey
1 Cinnamon Stick
1 Bay Leaf
1 Wine Glass Olive Oil
½ Wine Glass of Vinegar (Jerez or similar)
¼L Water
1 tsp Sugar
Fresh Parsley


Pound together:-Ground chili, garlic, cumin, paprika, turmeric, bread.
Put into a frying pan and cook for 2 mins with a little of the oil.
Add remaining ingredients.
Bring to the boil.
Simmer for 10 mins
Put the mixture through a puree'er.

Keep in an air tight jar in the fridge. The longer you keep the Mojo the better the flavours blend together.
