Onion Soup


115g Olive Oil
3 Onions
2g Dried Thyme
Black Pepper to Taste
15g Flour
950ml Water
235ml White Wine
60ml Soy Sauce
30ml Honey
80g Grated Cheese

Cooking instructions

Heat oil in large pot, add onions, thyme and black pepper to taste.
Fry onions etc. until onion are caramelised.
Add flour stir until brown.
Mix in water,wine, soy sauce and honey.
Bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer for one hour, until the soup thickens slightly.
Add Cheese, stir until cheese melts.
Garnish with grated cheese.
Serve with warn crusty bread or toast.
